　アメリカズカップなどでの活躍で注目しているのは、カタマランタイプの船体に飛行機のようなウィングセールを使った、ヨット界のスポーツカーのような形式の双胴艇です。
　レース用に作られたものには、風速５メートルで２０ノット（約35Km/h！）も出るとか。
